Tongue-tie
“Tongue ties” or “lip ties” are conditions that limit the tongue or lip’s normal range of motion due to a tight soft tissue frenum. Restrictive tongue ties or lip ties can lead to symptoms in all ages – from infants to adults! Ties are very common and can be found in 12-25% of people. When they are too tight, they can impact the way the jaws grow and can lead to problems with feeding, breathing, sleeping, and more. Tongue-tie release (frenectomy) can be a speedy procedure to allow for more mobility and freedom to grow and function. Dr. Turner uses a Light Scalpel CO2 laser for release procedures.

Sleep Apnea
Our role as dental providers is to evaluate your airway to help you live better. In 2017, the American Dental Association required dentists, the most qualified professionals who deal with the oral cavity, to begin screening your airway. Dr. Turner uses a unique approach to assess for your individual risks of sleep-disordered breathing, ranging all the way from mouth breathing and snoring to obstructive sleep apnea. For treatment, she uses an FDA approved non-CPAP mouthguard type appliance that can help you breathe easier and live a longer, higher quality life.
